Always fighting, myself, my greatest enemy

Valances marked down to $4.99 (Bed Bath & Beyond), dye (on sale), and a few scrap fabrics for an unbeatable deal!  A little nerve-wracking with the JET BLACK dye!    After many hours of surfing for the right robot, I finally settled on making this little guy and his companion! Not only am I giddy over these valances, seeing Bronson lock in on it for about a minute then laugh was THE CUTEST moment. I wish I knew what he was thinking! Ignore the boring wall color, it's a RENTAL

Bronson received this gift from a sweet friend and I LOVED it, the thought put into it and the uniqueness of it.  I'd never seen a gift done like this before, along the lines of a diaper cake...very practical and cute.  This was a storage bin with lollipops (receiving blankets), gumdrops (washcloths) and cupcakes (handmade burpcloths with socks peeping out the top for icing, oh and the liner....coffee filters!)  LOVE LOVE LOVE THANK YOU dear friend!

Because I'm strong-willed, because I want to be more creative, because I'm a DIY girl, because I'm a procrastinator, because I hate unfinished projects, because I love my daughter and now that it's been 10 months since her 5th birthday, I've finally finished her gift, because I'm TRYING to be the mom she thinks that I am and that's 'the best mom in the world'!  Thank you Love for working the math here!  I really needed you and you seemed to be enjoying this. Such great big memories are made under this tent among two little sisters and that makes me happy I completed this project!

I just love challenges and this one it was!  My first huge blanket, yay me!  It was lots of fun creating this for a friend. The girls are into mod podge!  Painting 'glue' onto fabric...why would they turn that project down?  Making a fabric candy dish for an Aunt's birthday!  (I think the tutorial is on http://www.modpodgerocks.com/ )

My little sweetheart's room is slowly...let me say it again, very SLOWLY coming along!  I canNOT work on a project till it starts having direction in my head, I think I have an idea with his curtains so that's a few projects from now!  I know, there really are some cute baby beddings out there but when I added up how much I spent (NOT HOURS, let's not talk about the hours), I'M VERY HAPPY I MADE IT!  $30 in the bumper pad for his beautiful bed.  YAY!  I'm going to cheat a little on the rest of the room!  More on that later

A yummy fun outfit for LaLa, the skirt was SUPER EASY, the Target shirt just couldn't go plain so ice cream it screamed!

This was made when Bronson was just 2 weeks old for a special camper who wanted to have her laundry in style too!
