Mod Podge photos

Once again, mod podge to the rescue for a quick thoughtfulness kind of gift! Why is it I have to do something fun and creative RIGHT before going out of town or before a special day? Then I'm rushing to get packed up and hubby asks why in the world do I do this?

Easy....I love it!!! These were the 1.99 wooden plaques from Hobby Lobby, paint the edges, brush some MP, apply the photo, brush more MP, attach a ribbon (in my case...because I can't just do anything easy, I made a fabric strip and twisted fabric flower) and hang.

ADORABLE, I KNOW!!!!! I almost couldn't give this away (but then DH would've asked why I had to rush and cause us to be late when I could've finished this later).

Play tent

Because I'm strong-willed, because I want to be more creative, because I'm a DIY girl, because I'm a procrastinator, because I hate unfinished projects, because I love my daughter and now that it's been 10 months since her 5th birthday, I've finally finished her gift, because I'm TRYING to be the mom she thinks that I am and that's 'the best mom in the world'!  Thank you Love for working the math here!  I really needed you and you seemed to be enjoying this. Such great big memories are made under this tent among two little sisters and that makes me happy I completed this project!

Happy Camper Laundry Bag

This was made when Bronson was just 2 weeks old for a special camper who wanted to have her laundry in style too!

Successful Shopping = Ideas are exploding

After a trip to Joanns, Hobby Lobby, finally Michaels, all in the same week....I'm exploding and can't get to these great projects fast enough!  Amy Butler has her own SCRAPBOOK paper??????  How could you not be so happy if you have a love for her fabrics?  And LUCKY ME, the pack of 24pages was marked down to $3.99 (that's a low $0.16 per page), so I bought the only 2 packs they had....(hmmm, I need to find another Michael's)  So I have a few pieces of furniture I've been dying to decoupage, the first being my sewing desk!  WOW, ok, I'm just so excited about that!!!! Speaking of Amy Butler...I just finished making her gumdrop pillow pattern using Olivia The Pig fabrics.  Being put to good use...as I'd hope'd it be!!! SO many more fun projects on the agenda...(deep breath), one thing at a time and happy along the way!!!
